Pretty interesting museum if you're interested in this regional historical figure. I feel like it gives some depth to our trip to understand this context, and the museum was a series of wax figure tableaus and was reasonably well done, if not perhaps a little aged.

Superb museum displaying the life of Date Masamune plus other important Japanese figures. There are English displays and very easy to follow. Definitely worth a visit.

Really not recommended if you have already read the story or watched drama of Date Masamune. I'd like you spend more time walking along Matsushima bayside, worth a lot.

Cheap at 5 usd/pp. Great place to learn the history of the area. Wax figures are pretty high quality and the English translations are decent, you can definitely understand what's being explained. It's all reading and wax figurines of events.

Very interesting museum, we could get a good view in the history of Date Masume👍 Very impressing the historical scenes build with statues. Only the entrace hall is a little scary, and sadly no english translation for the historical persons of Sendai.
